The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has held ward congresses at the headquarters of Ward II, Constituency I of Sagbama Local Government Area in Angalabiri Town of Bayelsa State.
Governor Dickson on Friday, commended the peaceful conduct of the PDP ward congresses across the state.
The Governor, who participated in the exercise, expressed satisfaction with the level of understanding, which led to the emergence of the ward’s three delegates for the PDP governorship primary from where the party’s flag bearer for the December 5 gubernatorial election would be formally nominated.
Governor Dickson was full of gratitude to all the delegates for their maturity and commitment, which he said has portrayed the PDP as the leading political party in the State.
Governor Dickson described the people of Ward II in Constituency I of Sagbama Local Government Area as true and loyal PDP members whose support for the party has never being in doubt and enjoined them to bring their support to bear in the December 5 polls.
The Governor also used the occasion to restate his preparedness to embark on an issue-based campaign with his team.
In his remarks, the Chairman of the PDP Panel for the ward congresses from the National Headquarters, Abuja, Mr Buraimoh Ademuyewa, commended all the delegates for their maturity and level of discipline throughout the duration of the exercise.
The three delegates that emerged from Ward II, Constituency I congress of Sagbama Local Government Area include, Kemebiye Oweisana of Angalabiri, Mr Peremoboere Ogolo of Toru-Orua and Ebikake Godday of Bolou-Orua community.
