Lai Mohammed signing statements in reaction to PDP? It doesnt do Buhari and the APC any good should Lai Mohammed take us back to the pre-March/April election days. I should think that Buhari rather left Lai Mohammed where he loves to be: APC publicity strongroom. A minister, Lai may still forget he is in office to serve the country, and not APC card-carrying members ahead of the next election.

Lai would be signing statements in reaction to PDP’s allegation of rigging in the Borno-Central Senatorial Election, at a time he was attending the ministerial retreat? The APC shouldnt have allowed such; other officers should have done the signing of such statements.

And if there is such a place where Lai must not be placed, it is Information Ministry. It is a portfolio for patient officers; those who would not be quick to jump into comments when they are yet to hear to the conclusion. Lai has had to do reactions, launching attacks and throwing it back to the PDP, for him to be fit into an office where he would have to act differently.
