Mimiko, at the beginning of the week, announced 42 appointments out of which only seven members of the old PDP were considered for placement.
Alabi was the state chairman of PDP until he resigned his appointment last year at the instance of Governor Mimiko in other to pave way for Mr. Clement Faboyede whom some people consider as governor’s ally.
Faboyede succeeded Alabi as the chairman of the party in the state shortly after the defection of Governor Mimiko to the party before the close of last year.
Alabi, in a letter dated October 7, 2015, personally signed and addressed to the governor, appreciated the governor for counting him worthy of the appointment which he said he could not accept due to some personal reasons.
The letter read partly: “Regrettably Sir, I will not be able to take up the appointment as I have set in motion businesses plan that now demand my attention.
