Minna—Niger State House of Assembly has directed Governor Abubakar Bello to sack his Chief Press Secretary, CPS, Dr. Ibrahim Dooba, for incompetence and unguarded utterances capable of causing crisis in the state.
This followed a resolution passed, yesterday, during plenary, which was unanimously adopted by the House members.

The motion was moved under matters of urgent public importance by Alhaji Abdulmalik Kabir (Paiko, APC) and seconded by Alhaji Muhammed Lokogoma (Wushishi APC).
Some national newspapers, excluding Vanguard, had on Monday carried a story confirmed by the CPS that a list of 15 commissioner-nominees had been sent to the House of Assembly for confirmation, which was later discovered to be a false.
Majority of the members spoke unanimously in favour of the motion with only Muhammed Haruna (Bida ll) pleading that the CPS be given a last chance to apologise before the House for his incompetence.
Muhammed Nurudeen (Kontagora 1, APC), noted that the Assembly and the state had had enough of Dooba’s excesses and, therefore, directed the governor to sack and replace him with a more competent professional.
His plea was, however, turned down.
