Tunde Bakare, the Senior Pastor of Citadel Global Community Church, paid a visit to President Muhammadu Buhari in Aso Villa on Friday afternoon.
As Presidential media assistant Femi Adesina uploaded their photos on his Facebook page earlier in the day, the Christian cleric who had pledged never to meet his political and personal friend whom he had backed ate his words.
"President Buhari receives Pastor Tunde Bakare in State House on 15th October 2021," wrote Adesina with the images.
According to SaharaReporters, Bakare spitfire in his State of the Nation address on July 25, 82 days ago, blasting Buhari for his government's atrocities and excesses.
He promised to never see the ex-military general from Daura again.
"I'm not interested in meeting you any longer; no more visits," Bakare had stated. It is now a war because Nigeria must be freed.
"I dare you to chase me down since that's how it's done these days." It's possible you've done it to others. If you touch me, you're about to learn a lesson.
"If you know what I've been up to behind my back, tell me. If you can, I dare you to chase me down. I collaborated with you, worked for you, and helped you get there (where you are). I now have a stinky mouth when I speak.”
He went on to say that unfairness and inequity were to blame for the country's recent calls for secession.
“We must recognize that the agitation is the result of a lack of fairness and equity. The agitation would go down when there is justice and equity," Bakare had warned.
