…Calls For Arrest, Prosecution Of Impostors
The Chairman, Rivers State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, who also doubles as Sole Administrator, Rivers State Waste Management Agency, Bro Felix Obuah, says he has uncovered a fake Facebook account operated in his name by cyber fraudsters, calling on ushers of social media, government agencies, companies and the general public not to honour any request made by operators and through such means.
Bro. Obuah says he has earlier raised alarm on the activities of fraudsters who hacked his Facebook account, using it to solicit for job offers, contracts and financial assistance and defrauding unsuspecting persons and corporate organizations, stressing that he does not operate such Facebook account and has not mandated anyone to open, maintain and operate any internet facility or social media, including the said Facebook account for him.
Bro Obuah while warning anyone involved in such criminal and embarrassing act to desist forthwith, calls on the security agencies and relevant institutions to be on the alert and to track and arrest perpetrators of the cyber crime with a view of punishing them accordingly.
He further appeals to the public, particularly any one approached by these fraudsters to report them to the security agents for prosecution.
