The Impunity years of Obasanjo with fiddling with court judgements are here again…
How honourable are the judges and the law courts?
I thought we were getting it right with Elections and Electoral Matters.
No matter what you say or think about the immediate past Govt, the leadership then got it right with Electoral and Election Matters. The then ruling party lost elections both on the field and in the courts; at a point a past President(a member of the party then; and currently an adviser to this new Govt) during whose time you should go to celebrate your victory once you secured his party’s ticket wrote a letter to the sitting President accusing him of not helping their party secure victories at the courts.
So my personal thoughts are that this past President has started advising this new Govt on how to help their party secure victories at the courts.
I strongly believe that the courts and our judges must be honourable and resist interference.
The Lagos Tribunal ruled in favour of the ruling party and ruled against an opposition party in Rivers State on a matter bordering on the same issues.
I’m also aware some persons will be quick to justify and ‘stupidly’ run around celebrating and saying “naaw na our turn to do back what PDP did under Obasanjo”.
And I ask where is the spirit of Change, forgiveness and the rule of law that will guarantee a better nation?
Happy Sunday People of God!
