We Attacked Igboho's House Using His Weaknesses – A Leaked Audio Tape Reveals

The house of secessionist leader Sunday Igboho was invaded at midnight in July, according to an audio tape of an unidentified official of the Department of State Services (DSS), because he had given the hint while speaking carelessly.

The claimed security agent's voice, which was believed to be on the phone, also stated that Igboho's arrogance and stupidity were exploited against him.

This is from an audio record that our source obtained on Tuesday.

According to the audio, the informant employed by the DSS agents who raided Igboho's house in Ibadan was a close and trusted associate of Igboho who understood his flaws.

In July, DSS agents attacked Igboho's home in Soka, Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, killing two persons and detaining several others.

When President Muhammadu Buhari gave Fulani herdsmen an ultimatum to leave Igangan in Oyo State, and later the South West in general, Igboho became a target for his government.

According to him, the herders are to blame for the murders, kidnappings, and rape cases that have occurred in the area.

He scaled up his effort by advocating for the formation of a Yoruba nation separate from Nigeria.

Igboho and his wife, Ropo, were arrested by Beninese security forces at a Cotonou airport, Benin Republic, while attempting to go to Germany after his house was raided by the DSS and he was declared wanted. Since then, he has been held in a Beninese prison.

However, the male voice on the viral audio tape claimed that Igboho's unguarded conversations with a close associate aided the DSS in attacking his home.

The recording was mostly recorded in Yoruba, with some English thrown in for good measure.

"He asked us to come at midnight if you used to listen to what he stated." He had no idea that God had also given the government authority.

"He claimed that if we sent 1,000 people to his residence, we'd be lucky to get 100 people back." He did say, though, that we shouldn't arrive at midnight, which is why we invaded at midnight.

"You know, God adores Igboho, but his flaw is that he talks a lot." And it is via words that powerful individuals are apprehended and entrapped.

"'A chatty talks but has no meaning,' says a Yoruba proverb. Igboho is a man who talks too much. He has a strong strategy and ambition, but he speaks in a sloppy manner. His aspirations has been wrecked by his reckless remarks. That was the reason he became a victim "" stated the voice.

"Another issue is that his ignorance and hubris wrecked him," he added.
