Enyimba’ll Rattle Heartland FC –Sokari

Enyimba midfielder, Kingsley Sokari has revealed that the team would overcome Heartland FC challenge in Sunday’s Oriental derby at the Dan Anyiam Stadium in the Nigeria Glo Premier League.

The Aba Warriors has had contrasting results of late and will be desperate not to drop any points considering the fact that teams like Warri Wolves, Sunshine Stars and Wikki Tourist are just within distant touch of overtaking them.

However, having beating Wikki Tourist 2-0 last weekend to maintain its grip at the top of the table, Sokari told Daily Independent that the team is battle ready to pick the maximum points on Sunday.

“Our attention at this point of the season is to ensure that the team takes every match that comes its way very serious, starting with the match against Heartland FC where I believe that we will pick maximum points,” Sokari said.

“It won’t an easy game considering the rivalry between the two teams, however, Enyimba has nothing to fear because we have done it in the past and we are sure of repeating it again.

“The title is what we are after and I don’t see anything stopping us from been crowned champions of the Nigeria Glo Premier League at the end of the season.

Sokari, who had a below performance at the FIFA U-20 World Cup in New Zealand despite scoring a 20-yard goal against Korea DPR, insisted that he’s not feeling bad not been part of the squad that will tackle Burkina Faso in the CHAN qualifier.

“I am not feeling bad been left out of the invited players that will play Burkina Faso in the CHAN qualifier by coach Sunday Oliseh.I just believe my time will come and I need to concentrate on my club football so that I can catch the attention of the technical crew.
