Nigerian politician and former Chairman of Amuwo-Odofin Local Government, Comrade Ayodele Adewale, has revealed the role played by late Adebayo Sikiri Osinowo during the June 12 democracy struggle.
According to the Lagos politician, Osinowo played a vital role to ensure that families of late Chief Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola were saved from been killed during the crisis that greeted the democracy struggle.

Speaking in a live interview with TVC’s This Morning show on Tuesday which was monitored by this online medium, Adewale gave an account of how late Osinowo disguised as a Taxi driver to help in evaluating Alhaja Kudirat Abiola‘s children when an attempt was made to kill them.
According to him, if any of the late MKO’s children are still alive today, it is by the grace God and effort of Osinowo who took them out of their apartment and drove them through the night so they could escape to Ghana and then Europe to start a new life.
He further revealed that the deceased again struggled to return in order to evacuate Alhaja Kudirat herself, but unfortunately she was killed before his arrival.
Adewale praised Osinowo for his act of bravery in ensuring some members of the MKO’s family were kept alive.
He also expressed his condolence to the family of the late senator, prayed that God grant him rest.
