Pastor Femi Emmanuel
Femi Emmanuel, the Presiding Pastor of the Living Spring International Chapel, has warned Nigerian youngsters to avoid taking part in street protests.
He advised them to get involved in grassroots politics in order to preserve the country from political gladiators.

He also remarked that political discussions and analyses on television, radio, and newspapers will not be able to fix Nigeria's issues until patriotic, God-fearing, and industrious Nigerians assume office at the ward level.
As observed by SaharaReporters on Thursday, Emmanuel revealed this in a video during a meeting when he talked to his audience.
The Christian preacher, who is also a former Deputy Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, stated that people who truly decide the fate of the country are delegates to vote who lead at the central government in local government politics.
"Save Nigeria, Nigerians." Wake up, Nigerians, and save your nation. We just have this one nation. We are a population of over 200 million people who are unable to migrate to any country. They'll shut the gate in our faces. Save Nigeria, Nigerians. And we won't be able to help Nigeria by protesting or marching down the street.
"It's past time for our youths to get off the road; you can't save Nigeria by marching." Speaking large English on television, radio, and newspapers would not save Nigeria. Those who make decisions about Nigerians' fate do not read newspapers. They don't watch arguments on television. They are not radio listeners.
"Those who will preserve Nigeria will not be holed up in churches praying; we have already prayed enough." It's time to take action. What would be the best way to preserve Nigeria? "When decent Nigerians, patriotic Nigerians, God-fearing Nigerians, educated Nigerians, and productively-busy Nigerians go to the grassroots politics of Nigeria, Nigerians will be rescued," Emmanuel added.
"Politics is at the grassroots," he said again. Politics is a ward-by-ward affair. No amount of English, protest, prayer, or fasting would be enough to reclaim Nigeria from corrupt and wicked leaders until we go there and clean them out. At the ward level, politics is at its most grassroots. That is precisely what the political warlords have seized.
"They've organized and mobilized their own individuals to act as ward officers." When you go down to the ward level and discover who made the decisions about who you vote for, you will cry for Nigerians. You will be moved by Nigeria's plight. They are the poor, hungry, desperate, ignorant, regular people who have been mobilized and supported by politicians. They want to be able to put their own people there. At the ward level, those who decide who you vote for now."
